Programs 

There are many reasons for you to embark on a volunteer program whether it be getting exposure in your line of work while you study, taking time learn more about yourself or even go a gap year where you’re  just here to stay in this beautiful part of the world while making friends and international contacts.

 

Enjoy the freedom of the weekends to explore the town and its nightlife or take up one of the adventure activities so you too can experience the tourist attractions in the area.

 

Our dedicated team at Firefly Falls takes care of all general basic home-stay arrangements such as serviced accommodation, meals, transport to and from assignments, laundry, WiFi. We are thus always available to support our volunteers with any routine and/or more specific requirements, and assist with practical recommendations on exploring local leisure-time attractions, as well as for any further planned travels through the country.

Early Childhood Development Program

Supporting pre-school youth development centres

assisting in community feeding scheme, interacting with school-going youth in small groups and one-on-one at Mentor Centres and participating in sports development opportunities plus fun events for the youth.

Land Rehabilitation & Reforestation Program

Volunteers play a vital role in restoring the ecological balance and protecting re region's rich biodiversity. The Garden Route is famous for its diverse landscapes.

Without you, our forest will suffer and less jobs will be available.

Volunteer at a boutique wine estate offering viticulture & restaurant hospitality opportunities.

Volunteers can gain exposure to any of the seasonal vineyard & cellar activities as well as hospitality aspects via their restaurant.

Volunteer Homestay at Firefly Falls

A fun homestay located in a stunning location, an easy 10 -15 min drive from each of the sanctuaries. Firefly Falls has been welcoming volunteers and tourists since 2003.

* your name and a brief personal background

* the project that is of interest to you and the approximate dates that you have in mind for your project & home-stay experience.

 

We will then get back to you to discuss all necessary details on further processing and availability.
