Our dedicated team at Firefly Falls takes care of all general basic home-stay arrangements such as serviced accommodation, meals, transport to and from assignments, laundry, WiFi. We are thus always available to support our volunteers with any routine and/or more specific requirements, and assist with practical recommendations on exploring local leisure-time attractions, as well as for any further planned travels through the country.

Supporting pre-school youth development centres
assisting in community feeding scheme, interacting with school-going youth in small groups and one-on-one at Mentor Centres and participating in sports development opportunities plus fun events for the youth.
Volunteering at a highly successful local family-run dairy farm.
Volunteers can get involved in all aspects of the dairy farming process - from pasture management and feeding through to the
twice-a-day milking process, adding value to their dairy based products, and in assisting at the Farmstall, bakery and nursery.
Volunteering at an established equine estate and horse-riding program.
These horse-back mountain trail outrides are situated on an exceptionally scenic estate.
Volunteers will be involved in all aspects of equine care and training plus will have the opportunity to accompany out-rides, initially as assistants and, with increased exposure as leaders.
Volunteer at a boutique wine estate offering viticulture & restaurant hospitality opportunities.
Volunteers can gain exposure to any of the seasonal vineyard & cellar activities as well as hospitality aspects via their restaurant.
Volunteer at local sanctuaries for a mix of wild & domesticated animal rescue welfare organisations.
Volunteers will have a wide range of hands-on duties looking after these rescued animals both needing and seeking non-threatening, caring attention – feeding & watering, stable & pasture maintenance, grooming, routine animal health inspections plus assisting in any treatment.
*from R4500 per week (Excluding flights and transport to Firefly Falls)
