Firefly Falls Forest Accommodation is set in a 5-hectare small holding amidst indigenous forest and open grazing pastures located in The Crags, which is +/- 20 km (16 miles) east of Plettenberg Bay.
Firefly Falls is the gateway between the country's Western Cape and Eastern Cape Provinces and is ideally situated in the centre of all adventure activities, and able to provide all types of accommodation for every type of traveller.
We are 15 minutes away from the World's Highest Commercial Bungee at Bloukrans Bridge and a mere 10-minute drive down a spectacular mountain pass to the unspoiled Natures Valley beach in Tsitsikamma National Park, frequently described as the Jewel of The Garden Route.
UNDER THE TSITSIKAMMA MOUNTAINS
Firefly Falls is far from the daily bustle of rural living, but close enough to wholesome conveniences like a local farmstall with yummy cheeses & treats, only within walking distance way. Bring your bicycle along and explore the nearby trails that range from mild to wild. Located near us are restaurants, coffee shops, wine estates and far more to explore near our doorstep.
Our beautiful and spacious gardens enjoy spectacular views of the Tsitsikamma Mountain range as well as Mt. Formosa, the highest peak in the range. Our adjoining forest has a short trail that takes you through an indigenous rainforest. In good rains, our waterfall can be seen flowing, with a trickle running all year round.
There is also a farm trail that leads down to the spectacular Salt River (not suitable for kids and elderly) a steep downhill trail following an old jeep track, which takes you to the flowing ravines and cascading waterfalls of our bordering river.
